Mentoring Transformational Coaches

I've had the privilege of learning from some of the world's great transformational practitioners: Dick Schwartz, Jennifer Garvey Berger, Amy Fox, Erica Fox, Thomas Huebl, Robert Gass, Lynda Caesara, Ken Wilber, Resmaa Menakem, and my own father, Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. It's a tremendous honor when I can pass that knowledge forward to other coaches and facilitators.

Running the international Rising Practitioners' Circle for five years, holding space for coaches and facilitators to experiment at their own growing edges, gave me a view into many different journeys into coaching mastery. I learned to appreciate the wide range of transformational arts people in our field can practice, the need to play bravely in order to achieve great things, and the need to align the artform with the artist. I'd love to help you along that same journey.

The coaches I mentor best have already completed foundational trainings and are excited to deepen the work they do with their clients. I teach them a blend of parts work, somatics, and complexity theory while supporting them also in finding their own unique voice.

Coaching ability comes in three domains:

Processes - What tools do you bring to your clients? How do you begin and end your sessions? What homework do you assign? What are the scaffolds you offer your clients on which to grow?

Principles - What theory of change underlies those processes? When the guidebook isn't working, how do you improvise? What north star guides your work, and what boundaries keep you and your clients safe?

Presence - Who are you with your clients? What are they sensing in your body or hearing in your voice? How much have you done your own work? What needs are you meeting as a coach, and how do you own them cleanly?

I'll work with you in all three domains, so that your coaching feels like a well-honed craft and like a natural, fluid expression of who you are.

(And if you're looking for ICF certification or renewal, we'll get you that too.)

What My Clients Say...

Yotam invited me into a space where I could be real, vulnerable, and exploratory. Working with him has given me license to take more risks, not only as a coach, but as a human being.

- Kimberly Loh, Consultant, Coach, and Co-Author of Compassionate Conversations: How to Speak and Listen from the Heart

“Yotam brings something singular. Something that sneaks up on you. Something that you don't expect and eventually - you'll come to cherish. The ability to perceive and discern much beyond what a typical coach would strive for. He's equally able to surface deep patterns and lovingly challenge you all within the container of a coaching session. He offers a rare gift that I was fortunate enough to experience and I would highly recommend it to others - if you have the courage to accept it.”

- Stephen Kotev, Conflict Resolution Consultant

Working with Yotam was without a doubt the best investment of time, energy, and money I've ever made in myself. I got much more out of working with him than I ever could have anticipated. My primary goals were to master my craft as a coach, and to create a life infused with meaning and purpose.

As a result of our time together, my leadership capacities increased exponentially. I developed the inner resources to experience life more fully: I learned to meet challenges with curiosity and exploring what lessons life was teaching me through them. And I built the capacity to delight in feeling joy and ease without feeling like I needed to work so hard to earn the right to feel good. Conflicts in my relationships and challenges with my clients have now become my classroom - sources of learning and growth - when they were previously hardships.

Whether I had inner conflict or dreams that I barely dared to say out loud, Yotam supported me to meet myself with compassion, curiosity and an open heart. I'm forever grateful for our time together and would recommend him wholeheartedly as a coach.
